Redfish Tackle
I'm hoping to head down to KO's neck of the woods in a couple of weeks to try for some big reds on the fly, and since I have bugged him enough already on e-mail, I'll ask a few questions here.
Flies I am all set on.
What weight rod - 9 or 11? I have both.
Sinking or floating line?
Leader/tippet setup?
Many thanks in advance.

Thanks Kendall!
I'm just excited about having some gear for once and not having to borrow, but can't wait to get down there.
Hickory shad the next two weeks, and then hopefully some reds!
Thanks again,
Gary

Re: Redfish Tackle
I have heard of 3 reds caught in the Bay so far. Several huge schools of reds have been seen outside Rudee...so they are getting close! Water temp at Kiptopeake this morning is 57....close! It should be at least 60 by Monday!
Re: Redfish Tackle
Sweet. Looks like perfect timing. PropTalk deadline is 4/6, so I have a 10- to 14-day window after that.
