These are 10 inch flies for the Upper James River, which I hope to float soon chasing Musky from the yak. 5/0 Gama hook with a 4/0 stinger and Berkley 45 pound wire to hold them together separated with 5 beads for a little weight. 2 hours to tie while drinking a few beers...

Very nice, they probably work just as well for Stripers in the Chesapeake Bay.

I meant to hit the Musky section this past Sunday. Saturday I bass fished out of the yak and tested out the flies. They look awesome in the water. Problem is casting them from a yak, while sitting down, is one heck of a chore. I felt much more comfortable with my legs in the water or sitting sideways on the yak for stabilization. With this winter still sticking around, the water was COLD. I will likely be pushing this back a few months until the water warms and I can handle the cold a little better!
