Myrtle Beach fishing?

Going to Myrtle Beach with the wife for a few days leaving Monday 14 July. Does anyone have any good info on the fishing down there? As far as she's concerned, pier, head boat, or beach is just fine. I know the beach will require a license... would it even be worth it? :?:
