April 5

Postby Reefing » Mon Apr 05, 2010 5:55 pm

Got out today for a few hours and fished today. Fished around the Broad Creek area and Grun island for no love. Threw clousers and schminnows and even some Gulp. Water was 67 degrees, did not see much life in the water, sure hope it is not much longer, seems like forever since I have had any pullage.

Maybe the piping plovers were like me...a bit of excess gas expelled in the water and it warmed up a bit!

Kayaked blossies today with no love. Water temp there was showing 68-69 on my fishfinder. Wind kicked our buts and threw in the towel early. Hope to get out again tommorrow but will probably stick close here in Currituck. Commercial fisherman say they cant keep the drum out of there gillnets here so we shall see.

Well Tracy? How did you do Tuesday in Currituck? Dying to know that somebody is catching fish. Have not heard any reports lately from anyone inshore. Sunday looks like it might be a good day to scout again.... got the itch bad.
