Caddis and tricoes in eastern PA

Postby Emerson » Sat Jun 02, 2012 6:19 am

This year tricoes have started earlier than I can ever remember....at sun up fish are eating either 26 black tricoes or #18 tan caddis ...mostly emergers.. When just dun eating, a #18 snowshoe rabbit has been on fire
Been using my new 3 weight beauty from Dan at the Orvis store ...Orvis Helios..lots of power..good lifting for a 3...light as can be..sweet rod and great reel! Thanks Dan for the push.....

Look at the yellow on the lower jaw..not paint..I tried to scrape it off..looked permanent

check out this strange looking guy....weird head...fatter body, skinny tail....?????

These guys are as good as ya get around here...around 20"..most fish are 14-15" this year which is large for PA

Some pretty fish!
About those mutants - maybe an effect of toxic gas leaching through your waders?
