Annual trip to Grand Lake Stream Maine

Postby Emerson » Wed Jun 15, 2011 5:44 pm

Jim and made our 33rd visit to Weatherby's in Grand Lake Stream, Maine. Art and Gary have been going for 9 years!

Our first day of fishing resulted in good bass fishing but the topper was a hefty 26 to 27" pickerel, caught by Jim

Caught in this purdy lake...

Can't go on a trip without a lil T-rash!

We fished the stream for land-locked salmon...as per the entire NE, this was running HIGH!

We caught some of these land-locked salmon..this guy is small but ya get the idea....

Fished a different lake each day..

Gary got this nice 20" smallmouth. In Maine, a 20" is a lunker...only get a few of these.

Here was a hot new bass fly....Wiggle Minnow..

All of the colors were knocked off by fish but it still worked..this fly has major potential on all trips..Dorado watch out!

Check out the tree growing out of the rock!

We always stop at LL Bean's on the way home. They have a new aquarium with a bubble the lil kids can crawl under and see fish up close and personal!
Could not resist!

Another fun year and we all hope..many many more!

I'm not going under that aquarium. Any kind of "compression" would be held for a
long time in that bubble.
