SE PA spring fishing

Postby Emerson » Thu Apr 07, 2011 3:44 pm

Some of these fish are old...2 months in the stream, others are more recent...but that is what happens in the put and take streams.

Overcast, a few bugs coming off...micro caddis..body might be a #28. Tried a dry...zip. The rises were not that frequent.

First guy thought there were salmon reproducing in the stream..ate an egg!

Good ole trash fish...
Fr Creek tarpon got out-smarted with an egg as well! They like the roe! looks like a wee bit smaller version of what Jake is going to be fishing for shortly!

The vast majority today ate this size #18 guy...like a zebra copper type fly. This is tied on a Tiemco caddis/scud hook so it is the same size as a #20 dry fly hook..

bridge looking downstream..this bridge is from the 1880's but has just be reset to come up to standards..

fly coming apart but still working
