First Fall Trout Day ...

Postby meatstick » Wed Nov 17, 2010 5:16 pm

Same old #10 crude brown chenille nymph. ;)
They hammered it. I caught about ten, I guess. Along
with some pesky bluegills.

I'm tryin' to get up to speed with Picasa, so please view
the 3 pics there ... Thx.

That is an ancient Mustad wet-fly hook ... I think I bought those when I was 15 yrs old ... 1965. Box of 100, only been thru about 1/2. Great carp fly hook. Downside is: barbs are massive. I squash 'em of course. They did not have micro-barbs when Bedrock was a new development.

Nice work. I especially like the colors on the fish in the second picture. I haven't caught a trout on fly in several months....maybe I'll sneak out to Mossy this weekend.
