Joaquin is now cat 4 and crawling just off crooked island. looks like they will have is company for about 24 hours. ouch.
I am thinking of the good folks there and wishing them well.

Yup. Not good for eastern Bahamas but at least they are on the weak side of the storm.

And we may be getting lucky as this is the latest from NWS "A strong majority of the forecast models are now in agreement on
a track farther away from the United States east coast."
