A Day Well Spent

GBH was kind enough to host my son and me for some pickerel fishing this weekend. The fish were plentiful, but not very aggresive. They did not want flies. They preferred big soft plastics moving slowly. Even with that we saw lots of follows with no grabs. We managed a few and had some fun:


Will is not really that big, he is wearing a PFD under my hunting coat. Safety and warmth first.

I love chasing Chain pickerel down here on the Chickahominy Reservoir in Virginia. They are particularly fond of yellow and red Sea Ducers
