Camera Reviews

Postby kendalloz » Mon Nov 10, 2014 3:44 pm

That group/magazine that reviews lots of stuff each year has just released the latest camera reviews. Top DSLR was Canon EOS Rebel T5i ($550) (I do not think they tested "pro" cameras). Top mirrorless was Panasonic Lumix GH4. Canon and Nikon were absent from the top20 mirrorless division. Top advanced point-and-shoot was Canon Power Shot G1 x Mark II (What is with the Canon names, anyway?). Top superzoom was Nikon Coolpix S9700. Best action camera was GoPro Hero 3+ black with 3+silver close behind. Best budget Canon Powershot SX700 HS at $300. Best rugged and waterproof Canon PowerShot D30 at $300 but Nikon Coolpix AW120 and Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-TX30 at same price also did about the same. Remember these are not totally objective as they rate "image quality" which is and always will be subjective.
