Flash Extenders--

Postby bhorsley » Tue Mar 05, 2013 6:47 pm

anyone use a flash extender?? i have notice other bird photographers using fill flash. The other morning i shot at sunup and used fill flash on my 200mm. Was surprised at the results. Besides scaring the hell out of the birds if it was too dark --it sure brought the colors of birds in shadows

Never tried an extender, but have used off-camera speed lights to shoot in low light, especially shooting hummers. Not really an option for most settings in the wild though.
