Slams and a man in his element!

Postby SOBX » Sat Nov 16, 2013 3:58 pm

I left the dock a tid late and arrived at some rocks even later due to checking on a puppy drum bite along Rough Point that might have developed for the surf fishermen, but the 4 foot swells pretty much never even allowed us to consider it.

Left the rocks right after dropping the hook and found a buddy in his element, well done Doc! ;)

The man had 5 fishing solo and called it a morning to head to an oyster roast, and those of you that do this know a five fish morning alone is a right good morning.

and I got the skunk out of the boat with a pair of albies before heading back to a decent trout bite on the last of the falling tide and filled out a slam with specks, blues and grays for me and a small jack for Willis.

5 Fish for Doc and 5 species for my crew with Lord knows how many on 6wt rods, tomorrow may see a 4wt and will damn sure see my 5wt onboard! :D

Good Fishing!!!

I love that boat. That's a rough day, 5 albies and then off to an oyster roast.

Landlocked more folks would love your boat (land locked's) as well if there was a little less horsepower used ;)
