For Landlocked

Postby SOBX » Thu Nov 07, 2013 6:41 am

This is the spot/point forecast for Dead Tree Hole (40/45ft of water off of Shack towards Bardens Inlet):

Saturday: NNE wind 6 to 11 kt becoming variable and less than 5 kt in the afternoon. Sunny. Seas 3 ft subsiding to 1 ft.

Saturday Night: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming W 5 to 7 kt after midnight. Mostly clear. Seas around 1 ft.

Sunday: W wind around 9 kt. Sunny. Seas 1 to 2 ft.

Sunday Night: NW wind 9 to 12 kt becoming N after midnight. Mostly clear. Seas around 2 ft.

Veterans Day: NE wind 9 to 12 kt decreasing to 6 to 9 kt in the afternoon. Sunny. Seas 1 to 2 ft.

Told you it could not be damnably snotty forever! Not that NOAA will get it right, but that, my friend, is 3 very fishable days in a row with a three day weekend thrown in for good measure. :D

As a take-off of a famous commercial ------- I don't always trust the weatherman, but when I do, I catch a Hell of a lot of fish! ;)

Good Fishing!!!

Round up a few. The weather forecast sounds so good we're leaving the foothills streams and sweetwater trout and making the trip East

I usually stay in Beaufort, but I'm thinking of staying at HIFC; is there an advantage to staying on Harkers vs. in Beaufort (where all the action is  )?

The "action" can and does change daily or even minute by minute, so the only advice is that HIFC is closer to Bardens and the shoals while Beaufort is closer to Beaufort Inlet and the western beaches. Just look for the reports from this weekend as I doubt you get much to go on today and Friday.

Good Fishing!!!

Well if Mother Nature decides to crank up the wind machine when I get there, I'll just trim the big motor up drop the troller and see how close I can get the bottom of my Pioneer to the bottom of some creeks ;) . Wouldn't be the first time she's met some sand.

On the long range forecast for the end of next week there is a major northeaster forecast --talking armageddon on the north banks --but they cannot even get today weather close
