VCFA House Report 10/28/13

Postby fishermike » Mon Oct 28, 2013 6:16 pm

Hi! Just another great day on the water. We had two boaters out today and they found the albies ready and eager to bite and hooked 18 and landed 14 of them. We were about 3 miles west/southwest of the shoals and they were spread out over a couple of acres. We also had some sand people who had a couple of shots but came up empty. We plan to be out in boats and on the beach again tomorrow and hope for better results from the beach, it's been a few days since we have had anything on the beach and it is overdue. Hopefully it will pay off tomorrow. We are having the second best year in 17 years of coming down here, and it isn't even close, with 110 albies hooked and 80 of them landed in a 10 day period. It just seems to be getting better and better and those of you who decided to stay at home can only dream of albies running well into your backing! But there is still time if you want to get in on the action, plus this weekend is special as the Cape Lookoout Fly Fishing Club has their annual banquet on Fri and Tom Earnhardt has the barbeque on Sat. You do have NO reason not to be down here to get in on the action. Here's hoping to see you on the water with a rod bent double! thanks and tight lines, mike :D :D
