Early fireworks!!!

Postby SOBX » Fri Jul 03, 2009 6:08 pm

A little more wind and little more swell than I needed, but with my little buddy, Doc Hoffman, down for the 4th, we started the fireworks early with some nice AJs (poached off the back of Tommy Bennett's Parker---he had livies and was gracious enough to let us make some casts with the poppers into the melee!!!

There was "light & variable" in the forecast last night! If any of y'all know who stole it let me know, we need to talk!!! ;)

Y'all have a great & safe 4th, hope y'all get bent & bowed!!! :D :D

Good Fishing!!!

Neat....Nothing like AJ' on the surface

Usually you just add the 2 numbers to get the real speed...5 to 10 means 15

Heh SOBX,

I think I will have an un-sweetened ice tea with some sugar added for a nice cool drink on the 4th! :D :P :) ;)

Right now I have invaded Edenton...next stop......Oregon Inlet..then Frisco..I am in your state and it is great!

I have found that if I am fishing add the two numbers then multiply by 1.5 is normally most accurate.

Beauty of a fish BTW. One day I will get one.

No problem..

I just bought a rope ladder last week...practiced climbing out of my bedroom on down to the driveway. It is about the same distance from on top of the Rodanthe Pier...wanted to check the length...meet ya at the pier at 7 on Tuesday.....

Oh yea....I got one small Natty style rocket with me to shoot the ladder back up to the pier on the return. Checked with the Park Service..no problem due to us not technically being on Hatteras Island when we shoot it.....plus it is like practicing a rescue mission like the old Coast Guard station days on Hatteras Island...should be fun!!
