First off, if you are not real familiar with the inlets up there, go with somebody that is or trailer back to Harkers and launch at Calico Jacks (closet to Bardens Inlet and pretty well marked). Water temps are really good now with 65 plus on the beaches and higher stuff just offshore.

Some bonito/blues on the wrecks and some AJs, but we haven't got the AJs to go "user friendly"yet. Some big blues and big drum on the shoals, again, refer to the first sentence about being familiar with the area! Puppy drum in most creeks and marshes with some specks, the drum can be a little tough but with a little higher water temps they will get going pretty good. Salters Creek is loaded with blues and drum, but it is fished hard on weekends and gets muddy quick, great for small boats though!

What are you looking for? I'll be at a fly club outing on the Roanoke Fri/Sat, but give me a ring on the cell anytime and I'll try to help all I can (252-532-3983).

Good Fishing!!!
