Good looking indeed :) :) Can they even catch the ones swimming on their sides with one eye closed? THAT was a long day....

Thanks for hosting.

Ok, thanks for the update. steve.
Good to know they are on the way.

Posts Office will be closed before I get saturday mail, so it will be next week to mail them all back out. Not sure which day I wil be able to get to the post office.
still plenty of time till Alberts. we will all be well prepared.

Beatiful flies all around.
I plan to try to use some of these as models to tie some copys before they get chomped off by some critter. What an education for a novice tier! thanks all.

I might apoogize for my flyswap taboo clouser, but I know it works - really well. This color and material combination came out of a discussion with Cutter, having seen the bait during my october trip, and thinking about creating the impression of bait. Tied three and took them in November thinking they looked good. so did the fish. All got bit. Two lost (leader in hand for one, line loop around rod butt on the take for the other). the last is well worn, and sat beside my vise as I tied these copies. so the pattern is not instructive to any of you, but I hope the material choice and color is at least of interest. It will stand up to use.

Thanks Dave. They were mailed at 12:30 this afternoon.
I tied a Silverside pattern using EP Fibers.
Recipe:
Hook: Mustad 34007
Size 2
Thread: Danville's Ultra Fine Mono
Flash: Silver EP Sparkle
Back: Olive EP Fibers
Belly: White EP Fibers
Sparkle: Pearl EP Sparkle
Eyes: Solid Plastic

Notes: Take a comb & scissors if you can when fishing. You will need to comb fibers after catching a fish. Also you may want to trim the fly a little if you encounter smaller bait. I've never fished for Albie's however I do the above when fishing for Largemouth Bass & Crappie. Hopefully I will be able to fish for Albie's this year. Looking forward to seeing the flies everyone is using.

Excellent, men. I'm sure they will all get hammered or slurped this Fall.
