Saddle Hackle

Postby AMJohnston » Tue Nov 15, 2011 10:49 am

Last time I checked the fashionistas had driven up the price of saddle hackle or made them unattainable. Has that pressure eased or is there still a problem getting good feathers (or feathers at all for that matter).

Andy,
Just the hackle over 8" in length..length of stem. I have some that are 14"..should have sold them. The craze is slowly dying. These feathers are used primarily for dry fly tying...fresh water trout. The saddles for salt and big streamers should be OK.....we hope.
