I tied up some bunny leech typ flies using racoon for my trip to Scott Lake. Very sexy material. The one down side I found was that itis very bouyant so if you use too much the fly will not sink, even if really wet. I think this may be because I used too much material to wrap around the shank in front of the tail. In any event. I see why Simon is a fan of this material and I'll incorporate it in to future flies.
Boss, this might be good for cobia flies.

Good point ont he bunny. You really have to kneed out the air bubbles to get it to sink well. The air gets trapped in the hair and skin so the extra step is necesary but works. Especially true for a newly tied fly. After a few fish, sinks like a stone.
