Tubemouse

Postby mb82 » Mon Jun 01, 2009 10:21 am

I saw this pattern in Fly fish America only difference was colors and they didn't tie it as a tubefly.
Here it is a mouse pattern that hopefully will convince a few bass and maybe a pickeral or two that it is a nice protein rich meal. Tied weedless( why it is a tube) I should be able to throw it up into the lillypads and see what happens.

I would love to see a bigmouth crush that fly around lilly pads. Nice fly.

As I was tieing it I thought of you, HH65 and the Holsten. One of those might draw out a nice big brown. I had a customer a few weeks ago stop by with some pics of some monster browns he caught down there fishing at night throwing mouse patterns.
Next time I am at work I am going to pick up a bunch of black crosscut rabbit for these flys and if the catfish show up this year in the pools(totally different fly).
