Carp Lake

Postby woolybugger » Fri May 07, 2010 1:16 pm

Hey BCFlyfisherman - A friend of mine told me about a lake near Bridgewater(Crystal Lake?) that was very shallow and clear and had many big carp that you could fish for with flies. Ever tried it? I was born and raised in Staunton, but are not familiar with this spot. Big enough for the yak?

Ive never heard of crystal lake but i will definitely check it out. I know we have a place called silver lake nearby and it is big enough for the yak, only problem is that it gets hit heavy by trout fishermen since its a state stocked "lake"

I think it is Silver Lake now that you mention it. The story was you wait until later in the season after all the trout are gone to start carp fishing.
