I agree with all of the above. My best tuna hooked, but not caught, last year was on a 550 head 30' from the leader with 90' of running line on the deck. It did not end well. Isreal just shook his head, said "grande" and pulled in the top 3 sections of my rod that went out with the knot.

I did find that the small amount of weight I got out of tungsten kept the leader straight as the line sunk and minimized the tangles I got with unweighted flies. I will take a pic of the fly and post. I did like the results.

As for cones and "funny" colors --- not so much.
