Gonna Try a New Big Fly

Don't usually post fly pics until they are proven (caught a fish) but wanted to show this one. The fly on the top has wabbit stuffed into a piece of heat shrink that is tied and glued to the hook. Keeps the tail long but it should not foul too much. Then just bucktail and flash tied on hollow-style to flare. There is a product called channel lead (got it from FeatherCraft). It is grooved lead that fits snug to a hook shank. A little is tied to the bottom of the shank behind the eye. You can sort of see the large bulky spot under the shank behind the eye. The fly tracks nicely. Hope to get out later in the week to give it a try.

Bottom fly is a half-and-half 9-inches long. This is a well-proven big striper fly.
