Easy shrimp

Postby meatstick » Wed Mar 23, 2011 5:02 pm

A prawn fly for salmon in Pac NW ??

Come on !! ... has definite applications for other SW species.

Translucent pearl beads, clouser eyes, pink thread, and a little krystal flash. Done.

Modify the colors and eyes to your liking. Me likey any easy tie.

Too difficult for me ;)

Add clear beads to my list of stuff I need for the craft store.

Right off of Frisco, NC. The beach there is fairly flat..no huge drop off as it is around the corner from "The Point". This is where we park our butts in July each afternoon. My activity is looking for fish activity...depending on wind. So far...fingers crossed, we can still access this area!

Emerson, you are right on. SW panfish ... whiting, pompano, croaker, spot.

It may even work for Jim Sharpe's Erie steelhead. You don't know unless ya throw.

Orange beads for left coast Barred Surf perch ?

I'm sure it would be a good fly for my brackish water White Perch and Crappie.

I just happened to see a pic of it and said: "hey, that's the ticket ... gonna try that".
