Great Sunday

Postby TLT » Mon Jun 11, 2012 8:00 am

Ran up to the Northern Neck yesterday. Perfect outgoing tide for the grass flats and oyster reefs. The trout were all over the place. Caught a bunch but two were 24 and 23 inches. Very fat too. Stripers also came to the fly as well. Beautiful weather, and I love my new boat.

You guys know that I am bad about pics. It's all lies ;) I have to do better. The new boat is a 19 foot Tidewater Baymax and has an eight foot beam. The engine is a 115 Yammy four stroke. It is a 2009 and only had 50 freshwater hours on it when I bought it. The best of it is the Minnkota I-Pilot trolling motor. I feel like I am a freshwater bass fisherman with that. It is a very dry, smooth running craft. Now I need to sell my other two boats!

Nice to hear a report from my next of the woods. It sure has been the best spring speckled trout fishing in years. With more juvenile puppy drum in the creeks than I've ever seen, we should have great redfishing in our future.

Pretty work Tom!
