Today in the Shallows...

Postby kendalloz » Wed Apr 25, 2012 8:15 pm

Today was the second red drum trip this year. Did not see any. :( But found some schools of stripers from 30 to 44 inches in water from 2 to 8 feet deep. Easy to see. But they were spooky (water was clear) and tough to get. Lots of refusals. I ended up with 2. One yacker got a 44-incher! Also fished some oyster reefs and caught a blue, lost a few others, and lost once nice speck at the boat. Guess what this is....

I've been waiting for you to make another trip over there. Please keep
looking for big red when weather allows.

KO
Thanks for the report
Inquiring minds like to know.

I've got a side trip first across the pond with my bride, Cutter, and his bride; but expect to get down that way a couple times next month. :D
