Bluefish-yes Red Drum-no (with video)

Postby kendalloz » Tue Apr 19, 2011 10:32 am

Heard reports that the big reds had moved into the shoals of the Eastern Shore. Headed over yesterday afternoon last minute...got a late start due to taxes! Conditions were pretty good for drum hunting but I saw none. Went to a flounder spot and it was covered up with little blues. Glad I brought a small rod! Here is 1 minute 18 seconds of the action.

Nice little yellow-eyes. Good pull on a 6. Thanks for sharing the moment.

In case anyone did not know Mr. Pate passed on this week. Don't know the cause or details.

They are great "classic" reels.

Yes, Billy left us early April 18th ... he struggled with Alzheimers the last few years.

He left behind a huge angling legacy.

Thank you, Billy !!
