Laf. Riv

Postby arny » Mon Sep 20, 2010 2:48 pm

Fished it this morning. Headed out about 7:30am as high tide was around 8:20. Skiff ran great. The wind really picked up and by 8:20 is was down right nasty. A few of my bait fishing buddies landed some 30 inch plus reds in said river over the weekend, so that provided me with inspiration. (BTW I saw pics so I can confirm the catches). Anyway, no love for the fly guy, although I primarly fished the slack tide as I got blown outta there before the current started moving. Water temp was still in upper 70's, but shouldn't be long now.

I should give a little respect to the few croaker that i fooled on a crab pattern, so it wasn't exactly skunk city, but not what I envisioned either.
