CBBT and Ocean bluefish and sharks but kinda slow....

Postby kendalloz » Tue Sep 14, 2010 8:11 pm

Took the PropTalk editor Gary out today for some fishing. The target was a cobia on fly but no love. We braved honkin' SW winds to the third island got some small blues on fly (no skunk!) very tough to fly fish. You could hardly stand in the boat without holding on to something let alone fly cast. Moved to the ocean lots of bait no predators. Put out the bag and finally had a few small sharks come in to play. Gary got one to eat which was the highlight of the day and in the short video. Got a few more blues on the way in but overall a slow day. Did get one grouper on fly which while very small is unusual here.

Way to scrap it out KO. I went out for a couple of hours yesterday mid day to test the carb work I had done and fishing was SLOW. 2 micro blues and then nada. Hung out with a pod of dolphins for an hour and watched them air it out.

Darn ethanol finally got me. No matter what additive you use, it will show up somewhere. I have replaced some of the fuel line components, especially the dip tube into the fuel tank with aluminum tubing. Guys at the marina did a great job and now my low rpm/idle is spot on.
