Redington link Rod??

Postby BlueHeron » Sat Jan 11, 2014 2:28 pm

Anyone know much about them.?? When the CPX was replaced at the top of the line by the Link, I picked up a couple CPX's at a discount. And I love them. Now the Link has been replaced by the Vapen and Predator rods, and can be found discounted. They were replaced so quickly that it makes me wonder if there were problems with them. It they are near as good as the CPX was, and as I hear the Predator is, then there are bargains to be had.

I have two Predators and three Links, Dave. I really like both. The Predators are the short versions for different uses. The Links are light and fast. As soon as they introduced the Vapens, the Links went on the market for $160. My only criticism are the reel seats. I wish the locking rings were larger.
