Rio outbound line ques.

Postby flyinby » Tue Aug 28, 2012 12:25 pm

Anybody had any issues with the tropical Outbound coating coming off on the running line? I've got a line with about a eighteen inch secton in the hinge where the coating can be scraped off with your fingernail...Line is pretty new... Not sure if I scuffed it underfoot or what... love the line regardless...

"scuffed under foot" would not do that. Definitely something else. I'd
wait for Brian to direct you.

Just FYi, bug juice (repellant) is way bad for fly line coatings. Sta-bil is also deadly ... along with a few other things that get carried in vehicle and boat.

Thanks Brian....line was new...Only used it in Baja... and I fish barefooted every day, and didn't wear any repellant down there...I checked my guides on the rod I used, no obvious problems noted...I have never had a problem with any Rio lines.......
