Fluro knots

Postby AMJohnston » Wed Jul 11, 2012 5:16 pm

I do not use fluro much. I have heard it has different properties than regular leader material. Any tricks for joining fluro to a bite tippet of tyger wire? I would ususally use an albright for this connection.

This is for the run up to our trip to Alaska.
Fluro is a little harder and more resistant to bite offs or breaks because of nicks (correct?). I'm thinking back to advice a Scott Lake guide gave me that he wants to have a fluro leader most of the time for big fish for this reason.
Am I off base here?
