OI 7-30

Postby hh65cdr » Fri Jul 30, 2010 3:59 pm

Seems I have been cursed with catchnofishitis. Fished prop slough, pond and beyond hard today and got the big skunkeroo. Water was pretty cold. 65 in most parts. I chased a school of bluefish from the mouth of the pond all the way to the inlet with no luck. My buddy managed one small puppy drum. Lots of kayaks out today. None of them seem to be doing any better :? Had a great paddle back in with 20 knts of N wind in my face. Better luck next time.

know the pain of paddling back in that wind. when dad and I were out week of july 4 the wind switched and got up good on us while fishing. nice long paddle back against a current that had us drifting at 2.5mph according to my gps

Hey Jeff, since your coming down maybe you can chase the heavier winds away and just give a light breeze, not sure if my shoulders want to burn again like they did in july

Umm you know the history of me going anywhere near saltwater right? Someone here made the comment a while ago, Greendyk must be old Dutch for Small Craft Advisory.

Yesterday on our way to Virginia 158 south bound was bumper to bumper all the way back to Coinjock. Then 168N was bumper to bumper from Coinjock to Va state line. Glad to see the beach get the visitors but made for a long trip to Bush Gardens. My advice is get down here early or come in late.
