Boiler 6-4

Postby hh65cdr » Fri Jun 04, 2010 5:16 pm

MB82 and Myself gave the boiler a shot today. We fished it pretty hard up close and in the area of. Could not ask for the ocean conditions to be any better. Only problem was water temp was 60-65. Jeff did get a bluefish and a skate on the fly while I went home skunked :x Had high hopes but oh well I enjoyed the day out in the ocean on my yak and with great company.

Yep had fun. Forgot to put sunscreen on my feet, ouch they are burned now.

Tracy you didn't mention my bluefish was more angry then a normal blue. Grabbed my PFD and would not let go then grabbed my pants a little to close for comfort lets just say.

My day started at 5:15AM and I was out the door around 5:30 home at 8PM. I would not change today except for we would catch more fish and I would not have broken my 6wt again. Storing it in the hatch of my kayak I broke the tip off  Oh well off to work in the morning to get it sent back to the rod shop and have them give me a new one.

Oh I should add. could someone give HH65CRD their luck for a week or so. I got to say when you have bluefish busting all around you and you don't even get a tap you really are not having any luck.

Ha! Ha! Its all fun and games till you take a dry spell. The Xi3 has a curse I must break soon.

By the way! Thanks for not bringing a cat 3 with you this weekend. All in fun. Look forward to fishing with you again pal.

Sorry to hear about the relatively dry spell, especially the rod casualty.
As for the bluefish, I hope it was female.
