Two days??? I am not pack. I do not have enough flies tied. I haven't made many leaders... I swear I knew about this trip more than a year ago.

I do know that come sunday, all will work out and I will not care about the above anymore.

it all will work out--Pete we can just ride around and smoke cigars--why screw up a good morning by fishing!!I

i will use a handful of Tuxs and Sardinas, will use a few 10 foot (store bought) tapered leaders with 3 foot of fluorocarbon added to the end (or less) on my rooster and inshore rods, 8 foot shot of 20 to 25 pound fluorocarbon for my sink tips. Do not think i have ever caught a fish there on a crease fly---but i am bringing 2 dozen---i have the same batch that has come and gone to Baja four times.
We leave today for Richmond to speak at the FFV then tomorrow off to Raleigh and fly out Saturday morning

Pete,

Just might have a spare fly or 2 for ya!! No worries..you will have a great time....
Our biggest worry is waking up so darn early and then trying to get some rest on the plane. 4:30 am comes real soon on Sunday morning...it is 2 hours behind us though...still tough to counter getting up at 2:30 am...

See some of you guys in Houston and the rest in Cabo....

I will be the real quiet calm one standing around waiting for you on the veranda!

Heat index for Sunday predicted to be 122. I can't imagine what that feels like.

Here comes Medium Potential Disturbance #1. Might add a little humidity to the heat?

WOW. I just checked the FFV site (In Virginia FFV can stand for Fly Fishers of Virginia or First Families of Virgina) and the Horsley/Gardner presentation includes dinner and booze! Wish I could go!

As an FFV would say, Y'all have fun in Meh he co!

Those of us stuck home expect stories and pictures.
Will be thinking of you.
