So now I have to quit buying video stuff and get a 70-200 VR II and take a workshop. More to add to the wish list!

So now I have 2 GoPros a new Nikon lens and a paddleboard on the list!

I have a very old 300 manual I use on the D300 for birds and the glass is incredible...super sharp....but having to focus manually just does not work with critters that move so much. I always said I'd never sell it but I could sell that and the 18-200 and get a used 70-200???????

Sorry to go off topic great pics! Super!

Pete,

Shoot me the details on the course, I will join if I can.

I have the EF 70-200, 2.8 Autofocus is quirky inside of 4 meters, but very fast outside of that. I wish I had the IS, but that was too much cash.

i would never sell my 18 to 200--we have two. such a versatile lens and at F8 and anywhere between ISO 400 and 1600 you are damn close my 80 to 200 for jumping sailfish.

Keep an eye out on KEH great place for used equipment. I have bought both our 18 to 200s used and on D300 body used --super service as well.

here are three right out of the camera shot with my 18 to 200 several years back at F8 ISO 400. was much happier at 1600 this year. The good color of the fish is all about where the sun is to the fish and a decent editing program

Cutter,
Here is the link to Horizons http://www.horizonworkshops.com/
I haven't picked the course or dates. I'll call them this week to figure out which one is best for what I want.

Hugh, sorry for the hijacking.

Boss, see we do need a photography forum here. :D

Yea a friendly photo section! They have a photo section at Drake but it is not always friendly.

I second used stuff have bought a lot. MyD300 body was used. Lot of video stuff I have was used. But I want a few more GoPro and they are never for sale used! I guess they are so much fun no one ever sells them.

If you ever go to New York city go to B and H and especially their used section. It is candyland for a photographer!
