Setting the mood.

Postby Cutter » Thu Mar 03, 2011 7:11 pm

Mike Mazur has an article with covershot by Pat Ford in the new FFSW. If I were headed to Guat, it would put me in overload.

Have fun guys. Just a little jealous

Notice one of the tiers in the mag? I did. BTW good hook choice.

KO
Such tough choices we face
Tarpon remain in my future. After last year - Baja is tops if there is only one, but Gutemala is a blast. (Emerson creates some blasts, ya know, but I mean fun too)
Last year when you were there, was slow compared to the year before, and to historical.

Nice timing of the FFSW piece. Mine came today
I am very psyched.

Anyone notice that the fly in the pic on page 54 is an Abraham popper not the cam siegler they usually use. I know that Flacco used a few popper that Brian brought 2 years ago (and we did right good with em). Looks like that's not the only time.

Packing this weekend
Yeeahh :D :D

This thread seems to have taken on several different directions (as the Boss asked where are we going?) like sailfish and photos and FFSW and flies but now Tred! I am not goin' near that one!

Thats an interesting post, Tred was at Casa Vieja Lodge last year for 9 days, this year he has not been in the country yet. I think that is a special position created for Tred, to bring his TV fans to the lodge to creat more business during the slow season (summer, fall). Last yeat fly anglers only made up about half of our business, I hope to one day have Casa Vieja Lodge considered a fly fishing lodge. There were more Blue Marlin caught on fly during the last 5 years in Guatemala than in any other country, of course this has been true for sailfish for the last 15 years. See you all down there next week!
