Cutter, Nice trick with the dog might have to try that. For accuracy practice I have my girls walk around the yard and I cast to them and they try to catch the line. You all have fun!

I tie on a piece of yarn in the yard and the cat goes nuts.She will hunker down, as I strip, attack it, and take off running with it........I get pullage and drag sing! About as close as you can get being landlocked...Wonder what the neighbors think?

On packing...
Last year I checked all my rods, reels and other fishing-related stuff both ways. Life is much easier when you just accept what you can't change. Near the top of the list of things you can't change: the minds of airport security personnel, with or without a copy of TSA rules in your pocket.
