Rio Fly Line

Postby BCflyfisher2012 » Wed Mar 10, 2010 3:38 pm

hey guys

I busted my sinking line for my 6wt today while trout fishing  and am looking for a replacement line. Does anyone know what the sink rate is for the Rio Density Compensated Full sinking fly line type 6 is? I am looking for something similar to what I had which had a sink rate of 2-4.25"/sec

thanks

I am not real familiar with those lines, but I thought the type 6 was more like 6-7 inches per sec and a type-3 was in your line of 2 to 4. Maybe someone else knows or we can check the Rio site...

thanks guys. I think that line is a bit of overkill for what im looking for. I checked out the rio site and the Mainstream type 3 seems to be the best fit so i think im gonna go with that one. thanks again!
