when we used one it only had to fixed to something on land ---no hand holding. Never had to send it back only when it needed to be re-certified. Thing we did 8 or 9 WRs with one

just a feshwater bath, then wd-40.......more important than the maint is putting something than floats on the thing for when you drop it overboard... Notice I said when, not if.......

I upgraded to the big one because of red drum, black drum, and stripers that can top out the 30. We've caught black drum that top out the 60!

IGFA does the cert quickly and you get our scale back in les than a week. They do charge as indicated and that is if you are already a member. More if you are not. You should not have to send the scale in with a record application if the cert scale is used less than 12 months from the certification. You have to do it every 12 months. As the boss said you gotta hook the scale to something on land that does not move.

I'll take 60 bucks for the 30 which I think is half a new one.

This is the kind of fish that can bottom out a 60-pound boga! Compare Art's diameter to that on the fish!
