rigging question #2

Postby 9ft4wt » Thu Jun 25, 2009 9:20 am

On my trout-sized reels on which i don't switch lines on the spools, i always tie the backing to the fly line with an albright knot. For larger saltwater gear is the Albright sufficient if i don't plan on swapping out the lines from sinker to intermediate fairly regularly? Or is the loop system stronger?

it will work but i like a nail knot better--if you were using Rio lines they come with loops that do not pull out
