advice on fly fishing OBX in December

Postby deepwater » Wed Dec 11, 2013 12:40 am

Hello all:

This is my first post. I am a new member from Maryland. The love of saltwater fly fishing guides me to here. I have about 10-year surf fishing experience along the eastern coast, mainly in New England area. I started saltwater fly fishing several years ago and caught stripers and fluke on fly. I am thinking to fly fish the surf in OBX this weekend as a start of new fishing style. From the information I got, December is not a good time to fish the surf with a fly rod. I was wondering if anybody could kindly give me some advice on the winter fly fishing in OBX? Thanks!

Also, if you could kindly give me some help on fly fishing in the spring, summer, and fall, I also appreciate it!

Many thanks!
