Fishing report from the Frisco sound

Postby Emerson » Sun Jul 05, 2009 12:10 pm

Weather yesterday said...real nice..

We went out the channel to the sound as another boat was coming in...they left 15 minutes before us...why did they come back??...too rough they said

Us Do-Dos decided not too rough for us. Looked for trout where we had some luck last year..had some pin fish nibbles...that was it.

We went out further looking for birds...found some...spanish mackerel...notice that can be one or many...yup we got one. They were eating 1.5 " silver sides. I matched the hatch with a 3" gold shorty hopkins.

I could not have gotten Left K. close enough for a cast...due to waves, wind and the fish up and down. We sure tried though.

Came back after the macks skipped out...we were looking for more trout. We found rain and finally cried" Uncle"

We have had worse luck but it was better than zip!

I forgot to tell you..we had a few emersonious giganticus follow us to the boat then left....

Right now..we have probably straight 30 coming from the SW with a monsoon rain...free boat wash

too windy and wet to go to the car...

Oh well not yet time for those beverages made in Pottsville, PA

A little cryptic but I'll give it a try.

Pottsville = Yuengling Beer

But, Emersonious Giganticus (?) Possibly Great Dane size Houndfish ?

E-man, maybe reverse psychology would work. Start hoping
for bad weather, and maybe we'll get some bluebird days.

For the right price, I could make the trip down. That would add another 15knots to the wind and likely start some hail too

John,
Ya decoded both correctly!

There is some kind of story about me seeming to catch a few needle fish in Baja...

Cutter..

If you added 15 knots to this AM's wind...there would have been 2 red pennants flying instead of just the one!

This picture does not do this AM justice but not what you want to see while on vacation from vacation
