Bodie Island Soundside

Postby MattSmithVa » Sat Apr 02, 2011 4:37 pm

I am down for a few days for the kids' spring break thru Tues 4/5 and I am thinking about lashing the water (wading) behind OIFC or Bodie Island Light. Is that going to be casting practice time or is there any hope of some action? Any other northern OBX suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Matt, Behind the light house is where alot of the wading fishermen look first in the spring. I would have already been down to give it a try but I have been working alot. Not sure how much fun it will be with a NW in your face but I would give it a try with some gray/white, chart/white and orange/black clousers. Hopefully you will find a striper or maybe even an early trout. Good luck.
