Weather is still an issue

Postby Emerson » Wed Jul 14, 2010 4:41 pm

Yesterday..went to the NE side of Hatteras past the ferry...one of the few areas open ......the wind was a steady 20 coming from SW....
got 4 lizards and one flounder....also got fried on my back as I had no sunscreen....was called a few names by the person sitting in the shade...

Last night major storm and this am even worse...went to Ocracoke for an adventure...got there for brunch....we drove on the beach awaiting the opening of a restaurant serving brunch.....

here is why no fishing today..

this is as far WSW as you can go on the island due to "new" regulations....long story...none of which is good

went back to restaurant and had to wait 20 minutes after eating due to fear of drowning in the parking lot as it looked as if we parked under a water fall

Impressive looking squall line.
