OBX September Fly Fishing?

Postby OBORODS » Wed Apr 07, 2010 9:00 pm

I will be in the banks in mid september. I was wondering what kind of fishing I may be able to get into?

should be some reds around in the sounds and speckled trout. I have not been here in mid Sept. for 6 yrs so--hopefully someone else will chime in.

How about Thanksgiving week? Would that be false albie time?

while there might be a few albies around then the best albie fishing is about 90 miles south at Cape Lookout. If i was looking for albies it would be around Cape Lookout form October to Thanksgiving week. I have not been at Oregon Inlet around Thanksgiving in almost 16 yrs , we are at Cape Lookout then.
