Oct. 23rd western beaches blitz

Postby bhorsley » Mon Oct 24, 2016 7:06 am

really really good along the western beaches Sunday. The fish started feeding around 7:30 am and quit around 2:30 pm. They were on small anchovies but ready to eat the well placed fly. I know my two guys released around 40 albies. This season is red hot --
small tutti-fruti or tan and white Clousers were the ticket

Hi Brian. It's Peter from Connecticut. Question. My pal lives in Wrightsville Beach and has a small boat. Not big enough to get me up to where I fished with u last year. I'm going down next week. Are there any Albies near Wrightsville Beach area or is that too far from the action. I assume it's worth taking my fly rods but figured I would check with you first before I haul all my gear for nothing. He's not much of a fisherman so he doesn't know the local scene at all. Uses his boat for sunbathing with family on the intercostal. Thx if u have any info. Sounds like u all are knocking em silly this year.
