VCFA House Report #3

Postby fishermike » Mon Oct 17, 2016 5:46 pm

Hi! Great action again as the albies seemed to be all over. :D We had two boats out today and one boat hooked 10 and landed 6 and the other hooked 8 and landed 4. That brings the house total to 33 hooked and 15 landed over 3 days, add in the totals that my grandson and I had with Sarah and the house now stands at 46 hooked and 24 landed in 4 days of fishing. Pretty good by any account. Now we just need to keep things going and maybe improve our landing ability. We found them first thing this morning again off the #2 marker out about a half mile to a mile. They were up and down and difficult but we did manage a few hookups. Things really heated up in that area around 10:30 as there were albies in almost all directions and that continued for a couple of hours before cooling off. Then we headed south and ran into them, probably the same bunch we saw in the morning, around the gun mounts out about a mile. This went on for a couple of hours again. All in all a very good day, plus the wx was just great, the water looked like we were on a lake it was so smooth for most of the day before the wind picked up a little as we were coming in. Hope for good wx tomorrow and more action. If you haven't booked with Brian or Sarah, you are going to be kicking yourself when this season is over. It is shaping up to be a great one. Thanks and tight lines, mike buss
