October 13th report

Postby bhorsley » Thu Oct 13, 2016 8:22 pm

lots of dirty and stained water but marked plenty of bait. West of Bardens Inlet there were a good showing fish --chasing spearing and ballyhoo--they were tough but would eat. It was more fun watching the crazy rapid fire action.

Hi Brian,
I have been catching "stinky" what I call needlefish from the hook for many years. I saw your comment about albies chasing ballyhoo and was curious as to what the "stinkers" us sand folks have been hooking for years are. They are usually about 6+ inches long. looking at the pictures I don't think I have even seen a ballyhoo along the shore.

PS: thanks for the daily reports and hope to make it down again.

Pete
